About Us

Maggie Reilly founded Cosset & Walker in 2009, and is pictured here with her rescue dog Flo who has been her constant companion for 11 years since they ‘met’ at the Society for Abandoned Animals. Since then they have rescued another dog called Sam, re-homed 4 cats and given a very well deserved retirement home to 7 ex-battery hens (who immediately set about “re-designing” the back garden).

Prior to setting up Cosset & Walker, Maggie was a Solicitor. Since starting Cosset & Walker she has successfully completed the academic stage of the Professional Petsitting Course conducted by the Centre of Applied Pet Ethology (“COAPE”) and is now completing a Diploma in Animal Care which focuses on the practical aspects of working in the field of animal care and animal management, covering all different types of household pets from Cats, Dogs, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Hamster, Mice and Birds to Reptiles and Amphibians and Horses. This will add two further formal qualifications – a SAC Dip Animal Care Diploma and an NCFE Level 3 Award accredited by ASET and NCFE which is recognised in the UK by the Department of Education and Skills (DfES), Learning Skills Council (LSC) and the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).
